Returns, Exchange and Shipping
At Whitey's Wiring, we strive to provide high-quality products and professional-grade service. By purchasing from us or paying an invoice, you agree to the following terms:
1. Australian Consumer Law & Warranty
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
- Manufacturer’s Warranty: All parts are covered by their respective manufacturer's warranty. Whitey's Wiring provides no additional warranty beyond these statutory and manufacturer-specific rights.
- Professional Installation Required: To ensure safety and maintain warranty eligibility, all parts must be installed by a qualified Auto Electrician. Damage caused by improper installation is not a product fault and will not be covered.
2. Off-Road Use Only
Products supplied by Whitey’s Wiring are intended for off-road and closed-circuit use only. Use on public roads is at the buyer's own risk and may have legal consequences. Whitey’s Wiring accepts no liability for misuse of products on public highways.
3. "Order-In" & Custom Products
We specialize in "Order-In" fulfillment. This means many products are sourced specifically for your order.
- No Returns for Change of Mind: We do not accept returns or offer refunds if you simply change your mind or choose the wrong product.
- Cancellations: Once an order for an "Order-In" or custom item is placed and processed with our suppliers, we reserve the right to refuse cancellation.
4. Returns (Where Applicable)
In limited circumstances (excluding custom/order-in items), we may accept a return if:
- The product is returned within 14 days of purchase.
- The product is in brand-new, unopened, and resalable condition.
- Restocking Fee: A restocking fee of up to 20% applies to cover inspection and administrative costs.
5. Shipping, Handling & Insurance
- Lead Times: We aim to process orders within 3 business days, but logistics delays and back-orders can occur. Please contact us if you require a strict lead time before ordering.
- Shipping Risk: While we pack with care, we are not responsible for items lost or damaged by the courier. Standard shipping typically includes limited cover (up to $1,000 AUD less excess). If you require full insurance or a specific carrier, please contact us prior to shipping.
- Free Shipping: This option covers standard/regular freight only.
