Link ECU Price Drop, September 2026: What's Changed

Link ECU range - G5 Voodoo Pro, G4X ECUs and dash displays

Link Engine Management has reduced its Australian pricing, effective 21 September 2026. The cuts cover the whole G4X wire-in range, the DI Driver-4 and the CAN Lambda, and they flow through to the G5 Voodoo bundles that include a DI Driver. Our webstore prices are already updated.

Link put the reductions down to sustained demand for the G4X range and manufacturing efficiencies at their end, passed on to the dealer network. They've also been upfront that with costs still moving around, they can't promise these prices will hold indefinitely.

The biggest movers are the G4X wire-ins. The XtremeX is down $308, the AtomX $264 and the MonsoonX $220. If you've been sitting on the fence about an ECU for a build, that's a decent chunk of the loom budget back in your pocket.

Which G4X suits your build?

The short version. It's still worth a phone call before you order, because the right ECU depends on what else the car has to do.

  • AtomX — the entry point. Sequential injection and direct spark on up to four cylinders or two rotors, or up to eight cylinders on batch fire. Suits an engine that needs a proper tune without a pile of extra sensors and features.
  • MonsoonX — same small shell, more inputs and outputs, and it adds launch control, anti-lag, VVT control and closed loop boost. Onboard MAP sensor saves you fitting one.
  • StormX — eight injector and eight ignition drives, so sequential and direct spark on up to eight cylinders or four rotors. Adds onboard knock control for two sensors, a built-in trigger oscilloscope, stepper idle control and full gear shift control.
  • XtremeX — premium. Built-in electronic throttle control, traction control, cruise control, two CAN buses and a lot more I/O. The one that suits most serious road and motorsport builds.
  • FuryX — the XtremeX feature set plus an onboard wideband lambda controller. Eight injector drives and six ignition drives, so direct spark on up to six cylinders or three rotors.

The DI Driver-4 is the one people forget to budget for. It's what drives direct injectors alongside a G5 Voodoo, and it's now $110 cheaper, which is why the bundle prices have come down too. The CAN Lambda is a tidy way to get accurate wideband readings into the ECU over CAN, so the tune has proper closed loop control rather than a gauge on the dash.

Buying from us

We've been a Link dealer for over ten years, and we sell these two ways.

Supply only. Order through the webstore and do the work yourself. We're on the end of the phone if you get stuck on a pinout.

Supplied and installed. We build the harness, fit the ECU, sort the sensors and commission the car in the workshop, with in-house dyno tuning if you want us to finish the job. Plenty of customers use us for the wiring only and take the car to their own tuner, and that's fine by us.

Not sure which ECU your build needs, or what else has to go with it? That conversation is free. Call us on (07) 3049 4703 or send us a message and we'll work through it with you.
